Session 4: The Agent w/ Dylan First
LvR Mentoring Program
•
2h 26m
Inside talent booking with ex-former WME agent Dylan First, who represented ANNA & Anyma.
Having an agent is the dream of every artist - an agent believes in your work, pushes you forward, and secures as many shows as possible. But there are essential steps to take before you're ready to have one. In the meantime, you can learn to "wear the agent's hat" and start securing gigs on your own. We'll cover the agent role, bookings, deals and fees, festivals and clubs, and the difference between agents and promoters.
When he was a special guest at the mentoring program, Dylan First had spent many years at William Morris Endeavor (WME), one of the world's largest music talent agencies, with offices in Beverly Hills, New York City, London, Nashville, and Sydney. At the time, he represented leading names in the industry, including ANNA, Anyma, Claptone, Maceo Plex, and Neils Frances, among others.
